Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is a series of events put on by the American Cancer Society. These events are to honor survivors, raise awareness as well as funds for breast cancer research and education. Every year there are more than 300 events nationwide. These events bring together communities for a 3-to-5 mile walk where participants turn in pledges and donations they collect before the walk. Participants can join as a team or individually. When you choose to walk you are among over a million people coming together to beat this disease. These events are filled with passion, power and purpose.
If you can’t walk in these events there are other ways to help. You can donate to a participant or volunteer in your community. Volunteers are needed for registration, water stations and many other important activities.
